Krista Scholten is many women.

Krista Scholten is many women.
She is a retired fashion model turned Geriatric Nurse, serving patients with a unique approach. She says the best part of her day is checking her dignity at the door and letting her inner child come out. For over a decade, she has found fulfillment in connecting with patients and her healthcare team, believing that joy and playfulness can transform the healthcare experience. Laughter is the best medicine.
She is a creative and a caregiver, and always has a project on the go; whether it’s decorating, gardening, painting or crafting. She loves involving patients in these projects to share the joy, empowerment, self-worth, and sense of purpose they provide.
She is an adventurous athlete, taking on new physical challenges every day. From picking up skiing at 40, tennis at 44 and yoga at 46, Krista demonstrates that age is just a number. She loves hiking with her husband and dogs, proving that wellness is a lifelong journey of learning and exploration.
She is an intrepid traveler, having explored the world first as a fashion model and now with her favourite companion for these adventures, her husband. She’s passionate about immersing herself in new cultures, tasting unfamiliar dishes, and embracing the joy of getting happily lost in a new experience.
She is a loving family member, blessed with a wonderful husband Danny, two step-children Wyatt and Claudia, and her son “Tiger.” Together with their two dogs Yuma and George (who works as a therapy dog), she loves investing in time with those she loves the most.
Krista Scholten is each of these women, and her positive aging plan fits the sum of each and every one of her parts.
Krista’s positive aging journey aligns perfectly with a comprehensive approach to skincare and wellness. Maintaining a healthy, positive outlook on life matters most to her–facing challenges with integrity and embracing each one as a chance to grow. Her appreciation for Dr. Humphrey stems from a holistic understanding of skin health that goes beyond surface-level treatments at every stage of life.
When acne resurfaced in her 40s because of hormonal changes, Dr. Humphrey supported her in treating her acne in tandem with a rejuvenation of skin elasticity and volume. As a teenager she saw being older than 18 as “over the hill,” but now she happily views 90 as “young.”
Her mother was her first inspiration for skin health. Krista was 5’11 at 13 years old and was feeling insecure about her body and height. Her mother put her in modeling to show her that other girls looked like her, and to restore her confidence in what her body could do. When acne first appeared in her teens, she took her to the dermatologist to clear it up; an important factor for her modeling work, since Photoshop was just coming into practice at this time and photoshopping blemishes was expensive.
Krista tells us that to her, Dr. Humphrey is a true artist; being a nurse she can always recognize the physicians who have the ability to combine science with art. She feels strongly that great skincare needs both a sculptor and a physician, and Dr. Humphrey understands the nuance of beautiful results.
Krista is not striving to be the perfect woman—because that woman doesn’t exist. A 360° plan needs only fit the one beautiful soul it belongs to… and there is only one Krista Scholten.
