“Liquid Facelifts” – Dr. Jean Carruthers Speaks to Global News
On Monday, June 15, Dr. Jean Carruthers spoke to Elaine Yong from Global News B.C. about potential risks associated with the use of dermal fillers – in a practice commonly referred to as a “liquid facelift” – when they are injected incorrectly. Last week at the World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver, Dr. Carruthers presented a study in which she found 98 published cases of patients left blind, the side effect from mistakenly injecting into a blood vessel.
