She is a world traveler originally from Ft Churchill, Manitoba. In childhood her family moved every 3 to 4 years; from Canada to Germany. Her dad took her to Tunisia, Spain and the Greek Islands when she was young. After she married Mark they moved to Kansas City, San Antonio, Dallas, and finally settled in Vancouver. Most recently travelling to Bhutan. These experiences instilled in her a love for travel, different people and ideas, a fearlessness about new beginnings, and embracing of new adventures.
She is a devoted partner married to Mark for 43 years. They share their lives with amazing English Springer Spaniels and cherish relationships with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is a trailblazing professional who was one of the first women hired in sales at Xerox in Winnipeg. She continued her career in Dallas, Texas where she spent 33 years. She not only exceeded expectations but actively encouraged the hiring of more women and supported their advancement up the corporate ladder.
She is a fashion industry veteran whose decades-long career spans prestigious retailers. She worked as a model, a Manager of Accessories at The Bay, and Fashion Coordinator and then a buyer at Eaton’s— where she was passionate about helping young designers grow by featuring their creations.
She personifies the art of reinvention. After retiring, she went back to her passion for fashion. She inspired clients at Nordstrom Vancouver before landing her dream job at Holt Renfrew in Vancouver, proving that you can always pursue new professional passions.

Mary Jane’s early beauty influences came from her grandmother, whom she never saw without makeup or fashionable attire. Lilian Vadeboncoeur, her mentor and manager at Eaton’s was a big inspiration too. Mary Jane herself has always preferred a natural look—minimal no-fuss makeup with a touch of concealer. She keeps skin glowing with consistent moisturizing to keep her skin’s moisture barrier happy and healthy, thanks to her parents’ influence!
